Echinocereus polyacanthus. Mojave mound cactus. Sunset: 9b-11. Hardy to 15°F. Full sun, needs little water and good drainage. Solitary or clumping, forming large colonies, each stem up to 12 inches tall. Red or orange flowers with lighter center. Origin: Arizona, New Mexico, northwestern Mexico.
